Who's Mama's Earth?

We're people who love the Earth. And, perhaps more importantly, we love our family, our children, and our neighbors. Because of that we work hard to find ways to make the Earth a better, cleaner, safer and saner place both today...and for our children tomorrow.

Mama's Earth is a family owned business born from the experiences of an environmentally motivated mother and homemaker who found it difficult to clothe her family and stock her house in an Earth-friendly fashion. At the time (20 years ago), it was hard to find environmentally safe products, and when she did they cost too much. So over the past 20 years, Mama's Earth has been doing the hard work of ferreting out all sorts of clever, creative products and ideas in an effort to make a "green house" easy and accessible to everyone.

You see, at Mama's Earth, we don't think it takes an environmental crisis to teach us that we need to care for the planet. Old-fashioned stewardship and commonsense tell us that. It's simple. Care for the Earth and you help care for one another; care for one another and we help care for the Earth. It's a matter of personal responsibility to take responsibility for the impact you have on others.

So while the scientists and politicians duke-out the cause of climate change or decide which of our resources are expendable, you can take daily actions to improve the environment and surround your family with safe, clean and natural products. You too can make a difference in making our world cleaner, healthier and sustainable for this generation and generations to come.

We'll continue to work to find the finest quality, sustainably-produced, basic household goods and apparel available today—tested and used by us. You can take some time to cruise around the site and learn all sorts of ways you can make a positive impact on our world. Relax, read, explore, enjoy, share your ideas. Then buy and use what you need.

We look forward to becoming your partner in your personal path to loving the Earth (and one another).
